CHARITY PROFILE
The John and Ellie Voortman Charitable Foundation believe that creative expression leads to enhanced self-esteem. The Foundation works to support children, the arts, and education. They own The Gasworks building at 141 Park St. N. in Hamilton Ontario. The Gasworks includes several classrooms, multipurpose rooms, offices, and a meeting/performance space that can host over 120 people.

VISION

MISSION
The Gasworks partners with individuals and community organizations by providing a venue for their programming. Any surplus revenue from rentals of the Gasworks go to subsidizing and providing space for groups that cannot afford market rental rates.

TARGET AUDIENCE
The Gasworks partners with a diverse group of Hamilton artists, community organizers and non-profit organizations.
