HAMILTON MUSIC COLLECTIVE

The Hamilton Music Collective (HMC) is a charitable organization that was founded in 2008 by a local group of musicians, educators and community supporters, who are passionate about music and believe in its transformative power to enrich lives and empower students. HMC’s mission is to invigorate the music scene in Hamilton through professional live performances, education, events, workshops and exhibits.

RE-CREATE ART STUDIO

RE-create welcomes youth artists who identify as experiencing marginalization and barriers in their day to day life, whether that is weathering the storms of mental health issues, living independently at a young age, or experiencing precarious housing or income. RE-create’s studio space, which is shared with a number of other youth-serving arts organizations, is a safe and accepting place for youth to come and discover their creative, expressive side through the arts.

WILLOWBRIDGE COMMUNITY SERVICES

Willowbridge Community Services is a not-for-profit organization offering developmental services, counselling, and financial empowerment across Hamilton, Brantford, Niagara, and Haldimand Norfolk.  They are renting a staff office at The Gasworks and plan to partner with other Gasworks tenants such as RE-Create with community programming.

THE MEETING HOUSE – HAMILTON

The Meeting House church began meeting in the old Gasworks in 2016 and quickly grew to capacity. They currently meet weekly on Sundays at 10am.

CHORUS HAMILTON

Chorus Hamilton was founded in 1968 and continues to be one of Hamilton’s most active semi-professional mixed community choirs.   They rehearse Tuesday evenings in the theatre at the Gasworks.

LIVING ROCK – STROLLER FIT GROUP

Each Friday morning, the Living Rock’s stroller fit group for mom’s comes to The Gasworks for an opportunity to socialize together.

SISTERS IN SYNC

Sisters in Sync is a Hamilton-based charity formed to open up a space for girls and women to connect, share, and support one another. They offer support in education, mental health, financial literacy and day-to-day challenges, and curate initiatives that provide opportunities for individuals to lead and take control of their healing from trauma. They run weekly meetings and special events at The Gasworks.
